Fast and easy to adjust correctly.
SVG-FLEX350 is a redesign of the floor grinder machine, SVG-81. This concept was developed with the goal of improving the existing product, SVG-81, which was found to have various problems that made the product troublesome to use.
We decided to focus on the ease of use in terms of adjustability, as we found out that the machine took 15 minutes to adjust during our product analysis. The process was very manual labor-intensive while also needing a lot of tools. Our goal was to minimize the amount of time needed to adjust the machine by either simplifying the process, or removing it all by making it automatic.
This concept is the final outcome of the Product Design and Documentation course offered in the second semester of the Design & Innovation Bachelor’s degree.
